Other cool stuff on the internet
- A Better Place: This is my favorite webcomic ever and you should read it.
- Foreach: This one's still being written, but also a very good webcomic.
- vTuner: Listen to radio stations from around the world. Some of the stations may be unavailable, but a decent amount of them are still up!
- NixNet Upload: Upload files or paste text to share, automatically deleted after a specified time.
- Ruffle: Lets you run Flash content in your browser.
- Highlight or Hide Search Engine Results: Lets you hide websites you don't want to see in search results, and highlight results from websites you like.
- MDN Web Docs: Reference for HTML, CSS, and other information on building websites.
- OneCompiler: Write and run code in several languages right in your browser, good for quickly trying stuff out.
Graphics
- Unsplash: Lots of free stock photos.
- Wikimedia Commons: Another source for free photos (and other media). If you post your work on there, somebody might use it to illustrate a Wikipedia page (it happened to me!)
- piq: Pixel art gallery and a Flash app for drawing it.
- Lunaii: Cute pixel avatar maker/dress-up game.
- 80x15 Button Maker: A tool for making those two-tone pixel buttons you've probably seen around.
Math
- Random.org: Various random number generators and list shufflers which I use to come up with examples for stuff like sorting algorithms and probability problems.
- Temml: Convert LaTeX into MathML, which can be used in a webpage to display math equations.
- MathCAT: Text-to-speech for math. Its browser tool can convert an equation into words, which is useful for writing alt text or just figuring out how to describe a formula.
- Finite State Machine Designer: Draw state diagrams which you can export to an image or LaTeX.
